BIO

Łukasz Dryżałowski

I am a Warsaw-based Director of Photography currently studying at the National Film School in Łódź (2024–2029). I previously studied Digital Film Production at Ravensbourne University London (2017–2018) and hold an engineering degree in Mechatronics of Heavy Machinery from the Warsaw University of Technology (2010–2015).

This combination of film education and engineering background allows me to navigate film sets with ease, ensuring that every creative vision is supported by efficient and precise execution.

Experience & Highlights

Commercial: I have collaborated with numerous international brands, bringing a global perspective to productions in Poland.

Netflix Success: In 2023, I worked as Director of Photography on the true-crime series “The Case of Iwona Wieczorek,” which became the #1 most-watched title on Netflix on a daily ranking.

Feature Film: I served as 2nd Unit Director of Photography on the feature film “Alpha Male” (2022).

My Approach: I believe that great cinematography is rooted in the meaning of the message, we need to have a clear vision of the feeling we’re trying to portray.

My journey began with analog photography, when I discovered my grandfather’s cameras in his attic back in 2008. Years of experience behind the camera have taught me that strong preparation and a good working flow with the crew are key to achieving high-quality visual results. What’s more, clear and effective communication can work wonders.
